Hello! My name is Stephanie Inch and I am a cruising fanatic. I love trying out new ships and going new places. My first cruise was in 2009 and I’ve been “hooked” since!
Personal Travel History
When I was young, my family did not travel much. We would go to Myrtle Beach, SC each year with family friends and stay at the same resort. Other popular destinations were Detroit, MI and Jacksonville, NC. I had never been to Disney World, Disneyland, or embarked on an incredible voyage at sea. At some point, I remember my dad mentioning something about taking a cruise, but talking about it was as far as it ever went. I honestly didn’t even know Disney World even existed. Our thrills came from our local theme park, Carowinds.
My love for Disney began at a later age than most people. I went to Walt Disney World for the first time when I was 28 years old. My daughter was less than a year old. I wanted to experience Disney with my Mom before her dementia worsened. The decision to go in 2006 changed my life forever!
In 2007 I returned to Walt Disney World with my husband, mother, and daughter. I could not wait to show my husband the parks and have him see for himself what I was so excited about once I arrived home from my first trip. Needless to say, he loved it almost as much as I did! We returned in January of 2009.
Later, in 2009 I went on my first Disney cruise to celebrate my in-law’s 40th wedding anniversary. I was hesitant to go since I get motion sickness. Again, this is a decision I will never regret! I couldn’t believe Disney magic was at-sea as well as on land! I was hooked!
We decided to book another one for two years later, saved up, and made it happen. Our second cruise was a 5-night to the Bahamas on the Disney Dream. After our 2nd cruise, we realized we couldn’t wait two years to cruise again, so we booked a 7-night the following Spring Break on Disney Fantasy. We have sailed on Disney Cruise Line many times, and added other cruise lines to our resume’!
Professionally, I have worked in EMS for 12 years (as a Paramedic for 8 of those), taught elementary school for five years, while simultaneously working for the YMCA as a lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, and swim instructor. I have been with the YMCA since 1999. Currently, I am working for the YMCA and helping families plan their vacations.
My family enjoys traveling and spending time together playing games or going on walks in our free time. I have a passion for photography, blogging, and learning about social media outlets. I am currently teaching myself all there is to know about blogging and digital marketing in hopes to someday get a job doing it full-time!
